Going From Photographer to Web-designer

The Love of Art

My name is Abhay D´Alessandro and I have been in love with Art for as long as I can remember. I did not get serious about my art until about 5 to 8 years ago. That was when my father got me Photoshop version 5.5 and an iMac. I purchased a book about Photoshop and started to teach myself.

A Good Friend

Then one of my friends gave me a simple 3d program for my Mac. I started to play around with it and fell in love with 3d. I ended up buying a PC and 3ds Max and spent a few years teaching my self. But I had problems creating people and landscape. That is when I found Vue 4 and poser. This solved my problem. Now I was able to create what I wanted.

No Web Interest

Forward to the year 2003. My father had been doing a little web programming, and he felt that all my art skills would work well in web design. I looked into it, but it seemed hard; I just could not get it. So I forgot about if for a few years. Then in 2005 my father purchased Dreamweaver so we could create content for our ebay business. I did a few pages but still did not understand the Internet. I just stuck to art.

A New Age

In 2006, my father took the DM60A class and loved it; at the same time my girlfriend thought that web design would be something that I could do that would let me use all my art skills. I decided to try to understand the web. So I purchased a domain name, some web space and constructed a simple web site with Dreamweaver. This helped me to understand the web, and I loved it. For the first time I was able to combine all my skills. My father thought it would be good to learn html, I was a little hesitant, but I signed up. I have to say that the DM60A class is the best class I have ever taken.

So have a look around, I have sections from 3d to photography. I hope you like what you see.
